The Bay Horse Marygate re-opened on the 22nd December 2008, after being closed for nearly five years. A building of architectural merit in a city of outstanding historical architecture. The Bay Horse is accessible from the river, by crossing Mueseum Gardens or by coming directly down Marygate.

There is on street parking and a large municipal car park to the rear, both of which require payment. A stones throw from the City Centre, yet a quiet location to unwind, relax and enjoy yourself. Why not sample one of the six cask ales always on offer,or enjoy a coffee and sandwich or a tasty meal?

The Bay Horse has a function room on the first floor with its own bar which is available for hire for your own event. We can host meetings, parties and get togethers where you are assured of a very warm welcome and professional standards of service. The two on-suite guest rooms are refurbished to the highest standard and with the location and service this will make your stay enjoyable.
